In the middle of cow country Utah, lives a cluster of natural hot springs. These crystal clear blue ponds reach down to 33 feet deep. They are 100 degrees and absolutely beautiful. It took us about 2 hours to drive down from Provo, Utah to this beautiful location. We took snacks, the dogs and our gear to spend a couple hours in the water. We spent way longer than we thought and ended up with very muddy dogs, but we were so happy and we stayed warm amongst the snow covered fields. Hope you enjoy this weeks video!

]]>Asheville is one of those cities that you mention and you’ll hear: “Oh my gosh, I LOVE Asheville!” Nearly every time I tell people about this amazing city, their response is such a positive reinforcement that this city is one of the coolest, low-key cities. I will admit that I have only been to Asheville a handful of times but each time is even more new and adventurous than the last time. Full of amazing, organic restaurants, bars, coffee shops, and dog-loving people (a HUGE plus), Asheville is a city for people who love life and love adventure.
Our adventure began early morning on Monday. We drove up for Thanksgiving week. The air was so cold and the frost was just beginning to melt as we ventured downtown and hit the town. Sofia never used to get cold but she has been living in Florida for so long, that as soon as she was outside walking the streets, the poor girl was shivering. Coming from Utah, I thought she’d find the change invigorating but turns out we needed to go buy her a sweater. We bought her a dog sweater and went to grab breakfast at one of our favorite places: Over Easy Cafe.
Over Easy cafe is everything! It is local, organic and it has vegan/vegetarian options as well. We discovered this cute little place last time we were in NC and fell in love. Their trout omelette is to die for. They have kombucha on draft and it was phenomenal. We both got an omelet, mine was veggie and his was flank stank. We both split a veggie bowl with their house made hot sauce. Which is so good but also incredibly spicy. Everything is locally sourced, quality food and you feel good eating it. They have fresh single origin coffee, though I am not a coffee drinker. The atmosphere is super cool and everyone is in close quarters with each other. It’s definitely the place to go for a great breakfast or brunch.
After breakfast we ran around to all sorts of stores, book stores, music stores, clothing boutiques and it was like being in a calmer New York. The back alleys that are brick lined and rise up to all sorts of loft apartments sitting on top of local bodega’s and shops. There are so many hidden gems, you just have to be on close watch to find them. Also Yelp, is extremely helpful for finding places to hang out. Just like any city though, its so much cooler to avoid the tourist places and go where the locals go to do what the locals do.
Of course, we were that couple walking around with my camera around my neck and my phone in my hand to get the best shots. We just so happen to stop traffic to get some cool shots but hey it was worth it. This is one of my favorite streets as its all brick and cobblestone. You can tell that fall had already taken its toll and the trees were on their way to a deep sleep. It was sunny and beautiful but still a cold sixty degrees.
After spending the day, eating through Asheville. I had a belly but we still wanted to try the best foods and explore more. Sofia was getting fed organic veggies and meats while we were running into one restaurant and back out to another. Our sunset stop was at Wicked Weed which happens to be Grayson’s family friends. We enjoyed hor d’oeuvres, next to a big outdoor fire, making friends with others who also had dogs in sweaters. I loved that Asheville is a dog city and there are a lot there. Of course, every couple steps I am bending down to pet another cute dog and introduce mine. It was getting so cold though and I didn’t have gloves or a hat. After hanging near the fire long enough to run into a outdoor camping store, we bought gloves and a hat and still continued to run the streets. At about 11pm, we were tired, cold, and full but so happy. We had been to so many restaurants, bakeries, books stores and needed to drive an hour and a half up the mountain to get back to Grayson’s place. We wanted something sweet and something to finish the night off and give us a sugar boost to make the drive so late. We walked into French Broad Chocolate Lounge and oh my gosh this place is a must! When you walk in, it smells like Main Street in Disneyland. You know that overwhelming warm smell of waffle and brown sugar? Their selection is incredible and they hand make their ice cream. We died and went to heaven, but then had to come back and drive up so we could sleep and digest the 4,000 calories we consumed that day.
Overall, WE LOVE ASHEVILLE! It is such a cool place and we didn’t even explore half the city, but everything we did see and do was so much fun and it was nice to escape and get lost. Everyone always talks about living in the moment and we lived in the moment the entire time we were in NC. Something about the air was fresh and intoxicating, it was a sense of freedom and no worries to be had. It was an escape to a artsy, cobble-stoned world, one that held so many cool passions and even better people.
]]>This last weekend was a weekend for the books…yet again. I loved Canada and being able to spend it with my second family and their family and friends was amazing. Nicole asked me to do all the bridesmaids makeup which I am proud to say, they all looked gorgeous. She also asked me to film and of course I had to say yes. I filmed the entire wedding running around in my ASOS black tie dress, while meeting and greeting and having a great time. I also had tofu something for my blog and show you the adventures that happened during the traveling and events during the weekend. This week you get a post and a video combined and I am excited to show you guys what I got for you next week. XX
]]>Yes, it snowed and yes I’m having issues with it. The first day of fall came and BAM! It went from 90 degrees to 60. Then, the rain slowly progressed into snowing. I woke up Sunday to white mountains. I’m not ready for this yet.
So, obviously we had to make our way up to see the first snow fall. My sister snapped a few pictures to show how gorgeous it was and of course, me. I’m so kidding. I actually was cussing her out because I couldn’t breathe. While we are shooting, my dad is exploring and so is Sofia. We got done and I realized Sofia was brown from rolling around in something. Yeah, it was cow poop. FRESH.
You can imagine the humor and frustration as were chasing a poop covered dog around in snow, screaming and cussing. She got a very long bath afterwards. I love the mountains and I love that I have a family to explore and love the outdoors with. Stay tuned for Friday!! XOXO
]]>This last time at Lake Powell was by far my favorite. The first day we lounged around on a hidden sand beach, even did Zumba on the beach. We got all tan and swam and fished. The second day we boated down the the Utah/Arizona boarder. It’s called The Swinging Rope. We hung around in a rock canyon all morning and then went to Rainbow Bridge to hike. We went cliff jumping and then boated home with a huge full moon, the last ones on the lake. It was beyond perfect and so much fun with my family. I adore every single one of the members of my family. I am so beyond blessed to have them and to be close to them. Hopefully you guys enjoy this weeks video! XX Thank you for your continual support.

This weekend was so much fun! The stars are literally my favorite part of being away from civilization. There is no light pollution to worry about, everything is crystal clear, you see airplanes and satellites rushing through the stars. I love Lake Powell and I love that I finally figured out how to snap the stars on my camera. The second photo down is actually what the camera caught as we were laying in the middle of the road, trying to get the perfect shot. The park ranger came around in his truck to tell us there was a rattlesnake that had been seen and they were warning people. Little did we know, we would also hear coyotes and bunnies that night as well. I recommend to everyone, ever to get out and go enjoy camping and nature. It’s where we came from, it’s where we will go back to. It’s beauty is indescribable.
Hope you enjoy the video, I wanted to show you guys how gorgeous it ended up being. There was not even a breeze, the water was still and perfect temperature and the sun was warm and golden. It was beautiful and the most relaxing weekend I have had in a while. Stay tuned for all sorts of newness this week. XX

Finally got back on a horse and I LOVED it. I am so grateful for the gorgeous mountains that my family lives in. I honestly get the best of both worlds, the mountain, the beach and the big cities. I absolutely love it all. Here’s a quick recap of our weekend ride with my sister and my dad through Sundance and Stewart Falls. xx
