The Importance of Using Natural Body Care: Schmidt’s Naturals https://www.janessasjournal.com/?p=1531 Tue, 31 Oct 2017 21:34:28 +0000 http://www.janessasjournal.com/?p=1531

Hey! It’s been a little bit but things just got SO crazy, it got too hard to post. Just to update you, at least 5 new shoots done for work and book update. I am now Zumba Certified and will begin teaching soon and I caught my first ocean Tarpin! Which is probably what I am most proud of. Anyways, I have been wanting to post about this for so long now and I’ve been using their products for a couple months now and.. loving them!! You guys who have followed along with me know how much I love and adore skincare. I am always about using natural and things that actually nourish and feed your skin without the gross chemicals that do the exact opposite. Often times, you hear stories about how a healthy 50-year old marathon runner suddenly has cancer. He’s eaten clean his whole life, exercises and remains as stress-free as possible. What I always follow up with is: what kind of products was he using? Deodorant? Toothpaste? Do you know most of our products we use contain aluminum and BHT? Both chemicals that after repeatedly used, cause disease.

With knowing this, it’s scary to think that if I know this, why don’t the companies know this? Or rather, why are they not changing their ingredients? Why do they care only about my money and not about my wellbeing? You can find these companies, though it’s like finding a diamond in the rough, who do care about the ingredients they put in. Yes, this is where I mention Schmidt’s. Your deodorant is something you use daily if not a couple times daily. (At least let’s hope you do.)I feel so much better putting on something that is clean, soothing and smells good. The number one complaint I’ve personally had for natural deodorant is that they don’t work. After about a half day, or an intense workout, I always could smell myself. Gross. BUT GUESS WHAT?! THIS DEODORANT WORKS!!!

This is one of their newer scents and it smells amazing! The description for this is Delicate and Sensitive. It goes for $10.99 because it’s for sensitive skin but is so worth your health. The ingredient list is short and sweet and though its not an anti-persperant, it works well and blocks out the smell. Find it here

Lavender and Rose are my two favorite scents. This soap has Lavender and Sage and exfoliating Jojoba seed  cleans well, smells heavenly and is so relaxing in the shower. I LOVE showers and this just makes it that much more enjoyable. Find it here

AND THEN THERE IS CUTE SOFIA!!

This scent is actually one of their newest scents and it is my favorite. I wear this to the gym and it’s stronger so I know that I’m covered. It is cedar wood and damiana. I used to love to wear men’s deodorant because it smelled so nice and it usually worked better but this is perfect because it’s a stronger more masculine scent but yet still works for women. Find it for $8.99

AND SOFIA AGAIN!!!

And the last one that has worked so well (also keep in mind that I haven’t tried all of their products but these were ones that have stuck) is my favorite essential oil Ylang-Ylang. This was actually the first one I ever tried and this was when I decided that I was completely switching over to the natural way. This one is softer smelling. All of these deodorants need to be warmed and then applied. They sink into the skin better that way and you don’t have to worry about whats going onto your skin. Find it here for $8.99.

In final words, the importance of your health is everything. The food you put in your body, the things you put in your hair and on your skin matter. There are alternatives to the chemical-filled, money-hungry products that so loudly present themselves to us. The extra couple dollars you spend on natural ingredients are so worth it. They will be even more worth it when you’re not spending thousands on medical bills taking care if problems we could’ve prevented. Go check out their website, go do some research and make a simple switch. We may think disease won’t happen to us but it can and it will if we don’t take the correct steps to prevent it. Thanks for reading along and tune in for a new video on Friday!! XOXO

Eureka https://www.janessasjournal.com/?p=1010 https://www.janessasjournal.com/?p=1010#comments Wed, 19 Jul 2017 13:47:42 +0000 http://www.janessasjournal.com/?p=1010

Happy Wednesday! Michael and I have known each other for three years, and we have tried to shoot for three years and it finally happened! We went to the small town of Eureka, Utah where the population is around 700 people. The mayor of the city and his wife ended up giving us an amazing tour of the mines, the cemeteries, the rich history including the last Lodge where Amelia Earhart. We were able to experience such a cool adventure while also getting killer shots!

Enjoy the images! Go give him a follow  @michaelangelophoto and stay tuned for my recap of Swim Week on Friday! xx

Independence Celebrations https://www.janessasjournal.com/?p=956 Wed, 05 Jul 2017 16:15:31 +0000 http://www.janessasjournal.com/?p=956

No makeup, bare faced and sun kissed, this years July 4th was one to remember. Before I begin, all credit of images goes to the super talented Alexia Gornichec Photography. My little sister is such a talented little photographer and I love shooting with her and adore her creative input and our ability to laugh pretty much every second no matter what we’re doing. As for celebrating Independence Day, my family and I took a trip down to Lake Powell, Utah. This is such a hidden gem on the lower corner of Utah, near Arizona. It’s part of the Grand Canyon and is just beautiful red rock cliff and blue water. We live only a couple hours away and we camp out on the water for several days when we go down. There really isn’t a dull moment, not only are we able to boat around, cliff jump, swim, explore, wakeboard and participate in so many activities but we get so close as a family. We don’t have cell service down there so we put down the “worldly items” and pay attention to what really matters.

That brings me to why we are able to celebrate such an amazing country. The reason I am able to celebrate such a holiday and have the freedom to be with my family, to have the things we have and do the things we do so freely is because of our ancestors who made this country what it is today. There are so many “politically correct” people that thrive on tearing down such a blessed land. There are so many in this “Trump Era” who claim to love but show hate in actions and in thoughts. In this year, 2017 years after Jesus, I am so grateful for who is president, for how the country has survived so many incidents and has come out still strong and for who we all are because of it. This country was led by men who were led by God to bring it to it’s greatness, because by ourselves we could not do it. So in short, I am grateful for those men who listened to what mattered, I am grateful for my Father In Heaven who gave me and all of us the opportunity to live in the Chosen Land. I am grateful for everyone that is walking this earth now and their contribution to everything that we are. I am so grateful for my family that I was given and I am grateful for my upbringing. I understand where I come from and where I am going and in between that, is the journey of life and the joys, the sorrows, the laughter that comes with it. I am so grateful for The United States Of America.

I hope everyone had an AMAZING 4th of July spent with everything they are grateful for, in a place we are so blessed to live in. As always, stay tuned for Friday’s video and don’t forget to subscribe to my Youtube so you won’t miss anything. XX
