No makeup, bare faced and sun kissed, this years July 4th was one to remember. Before I begin, all credit of images goes to the super talented Alexia Gornichec Photography. My little sister is such a talented little photographer and I love shooting with her and adore her creative input and our ability to laugh pretty much every second no matter what we’re doing. As for celebrating Independence Day, my family and I took a trip down to Lake Powell, Utah. This is such a hidden gem on the lower corner of Utah, near Arizona. It’s part of the Grand Canyon and is just beautiful red rock cliff and blue water. We live only a couple hours away and we camp out on the water for several days when we go down. There really isn’t a dull moment, not only are we able to boat around, cliff jump, swim, explore, wakeboard and participate in so many activities but we get so close as a family. We don’t have cell service down there so we put down the “worldly items” and pay attention to what really matters.
That brings me to why we are able to celebrate such an amazing country. The reason I am able to celebrate such a holiday and have the freedom to be with my family, to have the things we have and do the things we do so freely is because of our ancestors who made this country what it is today. There are so many “politically correct” people that thrive on tearing down such a blessed land. There are so many in this “Trump Era” who claim to love but show hate in actions and in thoughts. In this year, 2017 years after Jesus, I am so grateful for who is president, for how the country has survived so many incidents and has come out still strong and for who we all are because of it. This country was led by men who were led by God to bring it to it’s greatness, because by ourselves we could not do it. So in short, I am grateful for those men who listened to what mattered, I am grateful for my Father In Heaven who gave me and all of us the opportunity to live in the Chosen Land. I am grateful for everyone that is walking this earth now and their contribution to everything that we are. I am so grateful for my family that I was given and I am grateful for my upbringing. I understand where I come from and where I am going and in between that, is the journey of life and the joys, the sorrows, the laughter that comes with it. I am so grateful for The United States Of America.
I hope everyone had an AMAZING 4th of July spent with everything they are grateful for, in a place we are so blessed to live in. As always, stay tuned for Friday’s video and don’t forget to subscribe to my Youtube so you won’t miss anything. XX
